SAN ANTONIO – As part of our Connect to Congress series connecting you with lawmakers we spoke to Congressman Lloyd Doggett, who says he’s hopeful another relief package can be reached.
Congressman Doggett believes the president’s executive action over the weekend to partially fund enhanced unemployment benefits benefit those who need it most.
“I am for that. I believe there are some good ideas out there. But I don’t think we should abandon our schools, our small businesses, food security, any number of issues that were not agreed too at this point, I think they ought to be included ultimately in an agreement. Though I agree the unemployment compensation and another relief check are high on the agenda.”
