Elizabeth Warren “Proud to Endorse Longtime Friend and Ally” Lloyd Doggett
Austin, TX – Today, U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) released an endorsement of U.S. Representative Lloyd Doggett (D-Austin) as he seeks re-election in Texas CD-37:
“I’m proud to endorse my longtime friend and ally Lloyd Doggett for re-election. He puts his head down, works hard, and delivers results. I’m very glad to have his strong progressive voice in the House, and he’ll be a champion for the 37th Congressional District in Texas, which reunites neighborhoods he’s represented before.”
In welcoming Warren’s endorsement, Rep. Doggett said:
“Elizabeth Warren, former UT Law professor, has been an inspiration since long before she came to the Senate. I value her friendship, good counsel, and support as we continue our ongoing struggle for progress, working together on a number of key legislative issues.”
At his October 18 announcement for re-election in CD-37 at Bryker Woods Elementary, Congressman Doggett previously released a list of over 1,000 endorsements, including that of almost all public officials elected as Democrats to non-judicial offices in Travis County. This list continues to grow, for which a supplement with remaining public officials and other neighbors will be released shortly.
